A wedding is a very special occasion and as a best man, I heard that delivering a few funny wedding toasts can be a great crowd pleaser. A few weddings I’ve been too had people delivering speeches that ended up with a few seconds of awkward silence. I did not want to make that same mistake and embarrass my best buddy who has trusted me with the responsibilities of being his best man. With that in mind I considered trying to come up with a few toasts I could use that were rather funny. I found that being ready and planning what you are going to say needs to be humorous but shouldn’t be too offending.

Writing a wedding toast can make you go mad but it’s really a pleasure to deliver it and that sigh of relief after you finish with it is the best part that you could ever experience. A few humorous wedding speeches is sure to attract the attention of everyone but don’t make turn into a stand up comedy. A few one liners which really strikes is all you need to keep the guests entertained.

The best technique is to include a few wedding jokes in your speech with a few funny quotations. Limit your jokes to one or two lines so that people can understand them easily and save you from the possibility of confused people who didn’t quite get it. Keep everyone focused with your body language.  Never adjust your tie because it obviously shows you are nervous. But don’t hide if you are nervous because hiding makes it even worse and you will end up looking sorry which you obviously don’t want others to know about.

Save the day by making short and sweet toasts. Long hours of speech are only meant for sermons. Make an eye contact with the audience and not only with just the groom and bride which you could probably do later.

Enjoy the way you speak as if it is being spoken naturally. Find a few examples of wedding toasts to give you an idea of what to write about, and then come up with your own unique and funny wedding toasts to use at the wedding.
